At Buitron Behavioral Health, our Behavioral Intervention Professionals provide individualized support in schools, homes, community settings, and our center. We focus on teaching meaningful skills that increase independence, improve quality of life, and help individuals successfully navigate everyday challenges.

Behavioral Intervention Services (BI)

Buitron Behavioral Health (BBH) provides Behavioral Intervention Services for children and youth ages 3–21 with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, social-emotional needs, and mental health concerns. Our goal is to help individuals build the skills needed to be successful at home, school, in the community, and throughout daily life.

Our team collaborates with families, caregivers, schools, and other providers to create individualized support plans that promote independence, communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behavior change. Services are provided in schools, homes, community settings, and at our center.

Services May Include:

  • Emotional regulation and coping skills

  • Communication and social skills development

  • Daily living and independent living skills

  • School and classroom support

  • Community integration and safety skills

  • Self-advocacy and self-management

  • Positive behavior support

  • Family and caregiver collaboration

When to seek services

HOW?

  • Behavior poses a danger or disruption

  • Caregivers feel overwhelmed and frustrated

  • The youth’s living situation is in jeopardy

  • Psychotropic medication is being considered or used

  • Behaviors hinder efforts to promote independence

  • Implementing therapy programs tailored to individual client needs

  • Developing skills such as communication, daily living, and functional life skills

  • Addressing sensory systems and promoting self-regulation
